The Tipping Point (Book Review)

I heard a lot about this book and finally picked up at the airport on recent trip to Philadelphia. I was totally engaged, and highly recommend it, specifically for designers. There's some nice stuff in there that is extremely valuable. It makes your think differently about your "target audience."

The author, Malcom Gladwell has written a few best sellers including "Blink" which is currently on the best sellers list. This book takes a look at what makes ideas or products "tip," or become mainstream trends.

The book is excellent, and made me think a little bit differently about how we might deal with marketing ideas for clients. It takes the idea of "Target Audience" to a new level.

Anyone who provides design services to clients can benefit from the information in this book. There's some interesting facts about Airwalk's advertising campaigns — and others — that have really given me a new perspective on how to approach design and marketing.

Read it! It's well worth your time and measly $15.00 at Amazon. The Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell
