Final Project Summary Book

Here are a few spreads from my MFA final project summary. The final book ended up being nearly 90 formatted pages. I used handmade paper for the cover and bound it all together using a modified Japanese stab binding technique. I made 3 copies, 2 for the school and my final presentation (next week) and this one for myself. The book contains a summary of all my work on my final project, including the concept development, design, illustration and final development. I’ll be releasing the final project itself in a few weeks.

I have seen a number of interesting books on art, but rarely have I been able to see that the book itself is a work of art. John, this book is certainly a work of art, in keeping with your usual high standards. Congratulations!

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I’m hoping to release the final project, and perhaps an online version of this document so that you can read the text that goes along with it. It’s been a long, but fun and exciting project for me.

@Bea I have a book on Japanese book binding if you’d like to borrow. Just got it back from John. ;)
