S o, it came and went, the big three-five. All-in-all it was pretty uneventful. I was hoping for something a bit more dramatic, you know the sort of thing where you wake up and everything is just somehow different. It didn’t happen, but then again, I’m pretty happy with how things are right now in my life, so I’ll chalk it up as just another day in the life, and take a moment to list a couple things that I’m pretty happy about at the “at-least-one-third-over” age of three-five.

- I’m healthy, minus six or five extra pounds that will soon disappear.
- I’m nearing 11 years of marriage to my wife Kathi – they’ve been 11 great years
- I’ve got 2 beautiful kids (a five year old girl and a one year old boy) that always remind me and give me the chance to lighten up and be a kid myself.
- I’ve got great job working with great people where I feel like I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of many people through the work that I do.
- I’m just about half way finished with an MFA degree (a long time dream and personal goal)
- I’m learning new things every day in all areas of my life.
