What the Flag of the European Union Should Have Been

I recently came across this and had to comment on the brilliance of this design. The Dutch architect Rem Koolhass proposed this design for the flag of the European Union. The barcode look and stripes of color are brilliant, creating a look of unity as creating and celebrating the diversity of European Union nations. Instead of taking a leap and selecting something truly innovative, the chose what appears to be a piece of the original flag of the 13 American Colonies. The official flag of the European Union.
