I’m a big fan of old books, especially the ones that contain illustrations. I came across BibliOdyssey which collects exactly the kind of stuff I love to see.

Nice find John. Over here at Mayo Clinic they have a copy of the Kelmscott Chaucer. Next time I go look at it I’ll try to get some picts.

Very nice. I'm just really into the old books right now. There's something about the care and craftsmanship that went into them. Even today, it is no small effort to prepare a book for printing. Back then, it was a monumental tasks, and involved the work of several people with highly specialized skills. The ornately decorated books are just fascinating.
