Work in Progress
I’ve been working on the 2nd of the Cosmic Knot series. I’ve somehow moved from “The Creation” to “The Garden”. This one isn’t finished yet, but I wanted to get it out there for some feedback, and to give myself some time to reflect on it, and see if I’m taking in the right directions.

I’d be interested in any impressions that you have, especially in regard to how it works with The Creation Knot which I posted earlier. I hope to have a full write about about this one soon also.
I’m seeing more implied sacred geometry in the leaves and flowers in a much more organic driven composition. Me likey. Nice Renaissance reference to holiness/divinity with the “halo”. You’re a much deeper thinker than I.
I feel a definite reference to life with the introduction of fresh, lively color when compared to the dark and subtle tones in the first illustration. It really is in harmony with the story of the creation as we know it. I also see subtle inspiration in the female figure…she reminds me of the “Birth of Venus” image in her pose.
The female figure in her white colored dress strikes me of young woman struggling with the beauty and mystery of the world around her; the manifestation of the beginning of life and death that she holds and rest coyly against her hip, accentuates the awakening of her body (and for humanity) to the pleasures and carnal sins of the world. She has left her childish ways behind, much like the butterflys have left their former physical structures behind.
